Ohio and many other states use Ookla Speedtest Intelligence to help evaluate broadband performance and availability. More consumer-initiated tests from an underserved road, township, village or city can provide stronger evidence of where reliable broadband service may still be lacking.

Why use the mobile app?

Location, location, location. The Android and iOS Speedtest® apps collect more precise location information than a test run through Speedtest.net, making mobile app results especially useful for identifying where broadband problems occur.

The app also provides additional information that can help distinguish between problems with your home Wi-Fi network and the internet service reaching your location.

What about privacy?
